1. Menyerupai mereka dalam pakaian, ucapan dan sebagainya.
Ini karena menyerupai mereka dalam pakaian, ucapan dan selain keduanya menunjukkan kecintaan terhadap orang yang diserupai. Oleh karena itu Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda:
مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ
“Barangsiapa yang menyerupai suatu kaum, maka dia termasuk golongan mereka”.
Maka diharamkan menyerupai orang-orang kafir dalam hal-hal yang menjadi kekhususan mereka dalam adat istiadat, ibadah, nama, dan akhlak (tingkah laku) mereka, seperti: Mencukur jenggot, memanjangkan kumis, berbicara dengan bahasa mereka, kecuali jika diperlukan.
