I'm a big ol' cheese pirate...and a card carrying goth chick. Day-to-day gothiness is pretty much limited to clothing, since hard-core goth makeup is reserved for clubbing. I usually have 15+ hour days, so a bunch of makeup would be a bad idea. My baby is a Siamese cat named Murphy, and he pretty much runs the apartment. I dig playing pool (even though I suck at it), watching movies (I am a Netflix junkie), playing video games, and writing...non-fiction. My dorkiest hobby is doing the NY Times crossword puzzle in the Nashville Scene every week. I'm not a big fan of the phone, but I do enjoy a good email or instant message. Besides, I'm much more coherent in print. Trust me.

You don't have to be goth, just as long as you don't expect me to start shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch. I would, though, appreciate meeting people who have something to talk about beyond shoes and the latest Rammstein album. Good knowledge of pop culture is good too. Hey, being a rocket scientist doesn't excuse you from knowing who Paris Hilton is, right? (Though, clearly, we'd all be better off if none of us knew who she is....)
