HEY- isn't today your birthday?
i know it is, birthday boy!
so I'm getting you a mac classic (sorry- no
keyboard cause i found it on the street)
... I also found a junked out car nearby that
we can keep ourselves busy in while we wait
for the mac to boot up ooox
He comes after Hardcastle and McCormick
but before McCloud.

I am not exagerrating when saying Nate Smith
may be the coolest person I've ever met. He's
like the polar opposite of ever douche bag
who DJ'd at your college radio station and
talked way too much during your favorite film/
english class. Touchdown!

It's a total fluke that I even met this
guy, but godamn it, that Shy Child
record just fuckin' wrapped around my
ears and wouldn't let go until I bought
the CD (and it consequently never let go
after). I emailed him thereafter and he
seemed like a nice guy so I have been
stocking him ever since.
It seems that Nate and I were destined
to meet since a.) we both used to
distribute anti-sting propaganda back
in the day b.) upon first moving to NY,
he moved next door to my sister out of
all the people on the planet to move
next door to and c.) I bumped into him
on the F train not too long ago. There
you have it, destined to be
friendsters. PS. Nate simply rocks.

I recently spent the most surreal 48
hours of my life with Nate and
several others. Highlights included
hanging around with what seemed
like runaway teens drinking beer
around a campfire in an abandoned
mill building in Richmond one night,
and crashing a goth party (a "wake"
said the flyer) complete with paper
coffin in Chapel Hill the next night. He
also recommended "Fantastic
Planet" which was, of course, totally
sweet.
Nate drums like a whiz. There was this
one time when we were sitting around,
and Nate was like do you want to hear
some drumming and I was like yeah. And
then he started drumming and he was
really good. But I think mostly we're
friends because of Jesus.

if he's real tight with JD, there's no
way I can't like him......
but before McCloud.
