A book I helped get released about the documentary film Grey Gardens:

I'm a director of an art gallery in Cambridge, the assistant director of an art gallery in Boston, I refinish furniture ( www.resurrection-furniture.com ). I have a degree in photography. blah blah blah.
I'm a bit cynical and pretty sarcastic - but overall a really good person. You
see, you can take me home to meet your mom, but by the end of the
night I'll have that bitch wasted, laughing and telling me about the
time you crapped your pants. Your dad, on the other hand, probably
won't like me. But in any case they'll say I'm fun.
On a less severe note: Aside from family and such, there is nothing
more important to me than friendships. I tend to make very close friends that become much like a family. When I like you, I like to have you around. I'm extremely dedicated to those I'm close to, and love looking beyond the obvious. It's amazing what most people will overlook. I guess I just love finding the secrets, and there's always something to be found. I can speak Polish (that won you over, didn't it?).
From "The Garden of Proserpine"
by Algernon Charles Swinburne
"From too much love of living,
From hope and fear set free,
We thank with brief thanksgiving
Whatever gods may be.
That no man lives for ever;
That dead men rise up never;
That even the weariest river
Winds somewhere safe to sea."
that was found carved into a wall at a condemned insane asylum. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, doesn't it?
Who I Want to Meet:
-people that will support my garbage picking habit. well, you should be prepared to get a call from me one night asking you to pick me up with my new(ish) bookcase etc. that's why you have a car, right?
-people that won't piss me off, or will piss me off in the right way
-I'm a firm believer in 'opposites attract', so people who are not all like me
-someone I can introduce to my boss
-someone with a great sense of humor
-someone that owns a merkin, and is proud of it (I said 'owns' one, not 'uses' one).
-someone who has a huge collection of strange religious icons, and will give them all to me.
-someone that can make a mean mojito
-people that will make fun of me with my mother.
-Meeting Amy Fisher & Tanya Harding will be fine as well. or better yet, a STAUNCH character.
