        people I met when I moved to NYC
        almost 5 years ago. He has geat style,
        charisma and throws a kick-ass party.
        I am a total loser for never going to
        one of his shows, and now since I'm
        moving I'll have to wait until he goes
        on tour! Oh, well, I'll still always
        be able to say "I knew him when..."

        overobsessive when it comes to his
        headphones. Derek, the more you cry,

      • 6 Degrees of Derek... should be a
        fucking movie. I can't even count the
        amount of people I've met through this
        kid, it's ridiculous! When I was in
        college I was introduced to him via
        e-mail before I moved to New York. Once
        I got here Derek took me under his wing
        and I became friends with all of his
        friends. Derek knows a ton of people
        and everyone likes him because he's one
        of the nicest, coolest guys you will
        ever meet. Thanks Derek for hooking me
