About Me:
You can find out all the dirt at JEWISHYIRISHY.COM!!!!!!!!
The short version? I'm a new mom, and about to be a new author... I think.
Otherwise? I read. I write poems and kids books. Seriously. I mean, I take it seriously.
Wherever I live, I miss the other places. But I enjoy missing the other places, along with people and things. Missing means loving, and hoping...
Right now I live in Atlanta and so I miss gravel roads, dusty drucks, and farm auctions (IOWA) But then I also miss the Bay, Lexington Market, and my family a lot too (BALTIMORE). Sometimes I think about Brooklyn.
I have a wonderful husband and we argue all day long, in a good way. I have a big dog and a grouchy cat. I love country music. I love spicy food. I have a tendancy to buy vegetables I'm unlikely to eat, just so I can look at them in the bowl. I have a tendancy to feel really bad about wasting perfectly good food. I believed in unicorns (officially) until I was about 12. I think we should all live more carefully, but with much more glee. I sing too loud in public, dance the same way. think kind people are good people, but that nice people are boring. Baltimore RULES!

Who I Want to Meet:
Writers in Atlanta, partners in crime. New fun moms in East Atlanta or Oakhurst or the vicinity...

She's a real sharp cucumber.
your shit and you still adore her. she wears
excellent rococo slippers and robes, if memory
serves, and appreciates a nice cup of tea. if the
algonquin circle were in swing today, laurel would
play dorothy parker's part. minus the gloom. iowa
just isn't the same without her.
fun I have in Iowa City, and then
some. She lets me sleep over when I'm
sad and never hogs the popcorn, roasts
a mean chicken, and lives with the
World's Best Dog. Oh, and Chris, too.
I've linked arms with Laurel and
skipped down a public street; I've had
deep discussions about the politics of
Elimidate that blended into musings on
Jewish theology and practice. She is,
in short, a capital gal-- a woman for
Our Times-- all sparkly eyes and wicked
smiles.
singer
is in Iowa. Smart, talented, and I
think the only person who's a better
grammarian than I (am?). Glad to be her
colleague, lucky to be her friend.
