the praise of LJ, because, well, she's my
roommate. And a great one at that!
Someone I can always count on to tell
me like it is, and keep me in line--right
down to my dishes!! I have learned so
much from her; she makes those hard
NYC days just a little easier. I am so
grateful that less than ideal
circumstances landed me with the ideal
roommate. I love ya!
we road trip to New York in two cars. I
drive one car, she drives the other. My
navigator, who shall remain nameless,
gets us lost in BFE Queens, in the
pouring rain, for hours. I mean, this is
an end-of-the-world thunderstorm. This
is LJA's first trip to New York, I think, but
she never loses her cool, even though
we're getting shot at and we can't see
three feet off the hood of our cars. She
follows me down all the crazy streets,
never freaks out, never gets mad, never
panics. She's completely cool, even
though we've been driving like fourteen
hours that day. When we got to the
house, finally, we bust open a few well-
deserved '40's. OE, I think. (after being
lost in Queens, all you really want is
a '40). We all sit down, figuring to take
our time with it. I look up and LJA has
finished hers in oh, about three
seconds. She just tipped that bottle
back and took it all down. I don't think
she took a breath. And th
