About Me:
I'm generally kind, thoughtful, and funny (sometimes even
intentionally). Injustice, SUVs sporting American flags,
and reality TV piss me off. I think a laundromat at 1 a.m.
with the right guy is much more fun than dinner at Nobu with
the wrong one. I probably won't make you slide under the
table with embarrassment if I hop up to sing at a piano bar.
I don't break plans with friends for a date, except under
extraordinary circumstances. I like making up names and
pasts for strangers I observe. You can dress me up for the
opera or down for a hike. I'm a techno-weenie who lives on
computers, love vintage cars (own one too) and have an
ongoing search for the best roller coaster and ice cream
flavor. I don't consider a new city really visited until
I've had an outdoor nap there.

Who I Want to Meet:
You're kind, considerate, creative, offbeat, smarter than
hell, energetic but laid-back, and have a razor-sharp wit.
You're interesting enough to be the center of attention,
but your ego doesn't demand it. You've got finesse without
being fussy, and are a big kid without being immature. You
have insatiable passion for life and a childlike sense of
adventure. You apologize not with "sorry you felt hurt" but
"sorry I was a jerk," and mean it, if you've been one. You
adore me even if I'm not being extraordinary at the moment.
You didn't vote for Resident Bush and never would. You're
fun to travel with, and a make-the-knees-weak kisser. You're
as bummed about "The Matrix Reloaded" as I was.
(Or else Viggo Mortensen.)

brain and razor wit. but how many hotties
do you know that own a Jesus action figure?
or can go from passionate Che Guevara to
unconditional June Cleaver to fiery Veronica
Lake in one sentence? or can handstand
on 3 fingers while lindy hopping aerially?
ok, one of those isn't exactly true, but i'm not
saying which one. accept the fact that
simply knowing Val will enrich your life in
ways that only Bert Convy can explain. and
he's dead.

Japanese television commercials have
created a VALWORLD wherein we all can
feel our lives enriched by the talent,

will still think of Val as that silly

not one of those dull as rocks/self-
important/moody/issue-laden comedy
writers you meet at parties. You
know, the ones with zero social skills
who bore/egomaniacalize/scare the
bejesus out of you. This girl's got
the fastest wit this side of the
Pecos, with full-on Southern good
graces. She's just downright
charming. Besides all that, she's
really very stable and emotionally put
together. *SO* not a drama queen. In
fact, I think she's too low
maintenance. I know, it all sounds to
good to be true. But that's our Val.
Oh, and she sends thank you notes.
Don't you just love that? I'm honored
to have Val as my good friend. PS:
She's got TiVo.
