About Me:
How do you sum up a life in this little box? I am happy, content, rich with friends and family, like my job, and like my body. In the long term, I'm looking for good love, but I'm willing to wait for the right stuff.
I believe life is for those who love it, who breathe deep and laugh too loud and dance "like no-one's looking". I believe in
communication, honesty, respect, being myself and meeting others where they are. I believe in being authentic, being real, and that that sometimes means mess, but it is always means being alive and awake. I don't believe in simple answers or black and white, and I'm always looking to be more colorful, live in more dimensions, be more of myself and bring out more of others.
I am a Texas transplant, progressive politically, but have friends
(and family) of every political stripe. I have worked as an environmental lobbyist, a canvasser, an event-planner and now an educational fundraiser. I like my job and my coworkers, but believe that life is more than making a living.
I am 5'6', average lovely weight, and have auburn hair, hazel eyes, a few freckles, a wonderful family, and good friends. I love to journal with a cup of hot tea, see good movies, cook (especially with company), experiment with new restaurants, hike, go for long walks in my beautiful neighborhood, paint, explore and travel (I've lived abroad several times) and think about how I want to live my life. I like most things a little and some things a whole lot, and am eager to try on your interests for size.
I'm looking for friends and a partner who question their assumptions, want to live lightly on this Earth, but avoid fundamentalism of any kind and know how to have a good time. Please respect yourself and others, and aspire to healthy habits (everyone falls short sometimes-- especially when dark chocolate is involved!)
