      • just wanted to clarify-- i regret saying
"i would want to kill myself" in that
last testimonial. what i really meant is
        i would really be unhappy.

i shouldnt use such strong language...

      • oh steuby u. how i convince myself that i miss
you at times, but i know if i spent three days in
your polluted scenery i will want to kill myself.

but no, seriously, the catholic faith is not an easy
thing to live. i am trying my damndest in this
crazy world, but i appreciate the ease with which
you welcomed and encouraged us to practice and
live and love catholicism... and i know that when i
am ready to give up, i think of your hallowed hills
and all the steubenvillians who are going about
their day in the state of grace, and i drag myself
to confession and start over. THAT is the miracle
of steuby u. it is like the smell of food in your
clothes when you leave the caf. it never really
        goes away.

      • FUS...wow what a place. I ended up
here after being inspired by one of its
alumni that taught at my school...and
that's where it all began. It has been
somewhat of a love hate relationship (as
most interesting ones are). Despite its
        unfortunate location and infamous
quirks, I liked the place overall. If I chose
        a school based on aesthetics, I would've
gone to a university in California (which I
could've for a lot less). But that wasn't
my most important criteria. In the end, it
was about the people. And though some
people loved to judge like it was their
job, I was fortunate to find people who
        accepted me for where I was at;
spiritually and intellectually. I grew in
        knowledge from dorm conversations with
some pretty cool people, made friends
        during parties, and experienced many
3am epiphanies about life. I will always
love FUS for being the place where I met
my closest friends and accomplished so
many things in life. Shout out to Theta
Phi Alpha sisters (Love ya!), TTM, and
        the Delts.

      • ahhh Franciscan. How I love AND hate
you at the same time. I remember the
great times of constantly harassing you
in The Gadfly and attending classes in
your smelly yellow halls. Do you
remember the time you said I was going
to graduate but then made me stay for
        summer because of one science
credit? That was pretty funny. It was
almost as funny as the time I stole one
of your benches for a party off campus.
Do you still have the camp signs that
still display the names of the buildings
as if it where being attended to by a
camp councilor? In the end we became
good friends and we got something from
each other. I got a good religious
education and a degree and you got my
        dignity and $50,000.

I think I got the short end of the stick.
        Oh well. *hug*
