hasn't already been said? Here's
something: he's a heartbreaker. Waaay
back in 7th grade, I asked Bernie out.
He was my first "boyfriend" for one
single solitary day. And then he broke
up with me! Oh, the drama! The agony! We
got over it in record time, however, and
were still able to remain friends
throughout high school and unfortunately
lost touch in college. I'm happy to
have re-connected with Bernie again,
especially since he's living closer and
can join us for late-night coffee and I
can make fun of his picky nature and we
can all reminisce about the
not-quite-golden days.
positive, even when touring with a
group of neurotic comedians. Plus he
throws delightfull curve balls at me
onstage. It's really fun to do shows
with him. Oh, and ladies - he's got
the sensitivity of a gay man BUT HE
LIKES GIRLS. Go get yourselves some
Bernie!
first met him, back at U. Mass, we
were in this RA training session
(that's right Bernie was an RA,
dork...wait so was I...) and we were
doing 'role playing' and Bernie was
playing the RA, or something like
that, but he went nuts, and everybody
was laughing. And I was like, wow
that guy is good at Improv. And he
was.
We played Tevye and Golde together in
Fiddler on the Roof. My Uncle Vin
(every good Italian girl has an Uncle
Vin) wanted me to marry Bernie. I
should've listened to my Uncle Vin.
gets a rise out of him. It seems that
he always focuses on positive things.
That's really refreshing.
ole days....when fire was made by
rubbin two sticks together. I don't
know this new fangle Bernie. Who is
he?
small room in Rome, along the lines of
a lower deck cruise ship cabin.
Actually, to be precise, the room
wasn't even in Rome, but in the Roman
suburbs, this being after a crazy day
of deranged map reading, failed
attempts at tourism, and a lot of
caffeine. I would definitely do it
again, though, in a heartbeat, because
Bernie is the best kind of friend to
not see the Vatican with.... he's like
a papal city unto himself!
is a performer by nature with a
fantastic gift for writing. honest and
the kind of person people are
instinctively drawn towards.
