      • i thought of sue today when i unearthed a destroyer cd she burned for me, and i felt a pang of loss for all of birmingham and a surge of sour apple envy for chicago. that city is inheriting a citizen who will support and promote its music, its art, its good people, its culture without ever being gregarious about it... it's just part of sue to crave that well-roundedness. she's so brilliant and down to earth and critical and sweet and proud and lovely. a fireball with a heart of gold. a dear friend.

      • I can talk to sue for hours. She's absolutely intriguing with her blend of charming quick-wit and genuine sweetness. I'm so excited for her to move up to Chi-town. Two Alabama girls sounds like trouble. She also makes a hell of a veggie burger.

      • I miss my sister, Susan. Maybe I am
biased, but I think she is probably one of
the most level headed, coolest girls I
know. She always knows what to do
and when to do it. She is a voice of
reason in a world of passion. Not that
she is without passion, she is driven by
what is right and good and wonderful, as
evidenced by her guilty pleasure of
Justin Timberlake. She is beautiful and
        smart, sassy and outspoken, creative
and classy. She is my sister. I love her.

        her as a friend(even if she didn't
really want to like me at first!}she is
the COOLEST librarian you could ever

      • susan is always understanding... she
will throw down in an argument, but
just because she thinks you're an
        idiot, doesn't mean she doesn't
        understand... that's always over things
like, "george wendt supplied the voice
for the hunchback of notre dame"
or, "no one ever really landed on the
moon".... sue is really the greatest.
        she's my best friend.

      • Although short of stature, Susie
        radiates authority and demands respect.
Just ask her kiddies, anyone who has
seen her red gloves flying, or the
latest driver she ran off the road. The
gray hair makes her more authentic. But
whatever you do, don't ask how she
colored or highlighted it. She'll think
you idiotic. She is patient, humble,
consistent, and loving, but when her
fuse is lit, you better give her that
        authority. :)

      • Susan and I work together in a setting
that tries our patience at times. But
we both have found a unique friendship
that stems from two totally different
personalities. She's black and white &
I'm the full spectrum of the rainbow.
Sue & I can carry on two separate
        conversations without missing a beat
but we know exactly where we're coming
from. Life would be boring without Sue
and when she leaves I know Subway
and "cookies" will never be the same.
        Friends 4 Ever!!

      • Sue is a song that your can hum your
        whole life.
Her tribute album would be released by
Mr. Lady and contain: Wit by Stephen
Merritt, Fervour by Bikini Kill, Melody
by Paul Simon, drama (and subsequent
resolution) by Chan Marshall, and she
would cover her own version of Love.

      • I love Susan because we can argee over
HBO original programming and other pop
culture nonsense for years and we both
realize that "agree-ing to disagree" is
        for the weak.
