in an effort to gain additional
insight into this fascinating woman.
she told me of a time when she was
faced with a rival for some boy's
affection. now i'd have thought that
given all of greta's natural charm and
obvious beauty, there could be no
contest. but apparently, she wasn't
taking any chances. so first she
played nice with her rival by taking
her to a local club to see some
bands. during a lull, greta slipped
out and let the air out of one of her
own tires. after the show, she had
the rival help her change the flat,
carefully preserving this unsuspecting
girl's prints on the tire iron. a
week later, greta mugged an old woman
who had just won the lottery, sneaking
up behind her and delivering a
measured blow with the "evidence."
needless to say, the rival was picked
when the cops dusted for prints... and
is now the homecoming queen at the
south carolina correctional facility
for women. the funny part is, greta
dumped the guy after 2 dates. and all
this just makes me want her more.
lives for music, that it is her only
true passion. i know this to be
false. she may love music, but is
really fixated on sock monkeys. i've
seen her sneak off at clubs and
followed her. there i spied her in
the back room, each dainty hand
comfortably inside a magnificent
monkey of her own design, putting on
little shows just for herself. and
those are the times when you can truly
see joy in her eyes.
if I weren't over-30 and a piece of
shit, you'd be my girlfriend.

down malborough street, a few blocks
from the public garden. across the
way, i spy this vision - all in black,
make-up, short skirt, fishnets and
boots - groovin' to some music only
she can hear. innocent and menacing
at the same time. some poor slob
walks past her, bumps her. annoys
her. he never saw it coming. when
she was through, all that was left was
a bloody mess. years later, f-ster.
there's the vision again. she says
she likes scarves and cats.
though i never see her anymore. i miss
her. did you know she's my baby's daddy?
