About Me:
I am leaving Los Angeles for Houston in Mid-August. After six long years at UCLA I have completed my Ph.D. and now I have a two year research post-doc at Rice. I am moving in with my dad since he conveniently lives down the street from Rice. Visitors to Houston are very welcome! I would say that we could go to Astroworld but I recently found out it was closed (thanks Worm). I am going to spend the next two years researching health care refusal clauses that allow doctors to refuse non-emergency care on the basis of ethical, religious, and moral objections. Texas is a hotspot for this legislation, as well as for the pharmacist refusals issues surrounding birth control and emergency contraception. If anyone has any friends working for Texas non-profits that focus on women's rights and/or LGBT rights, HOOK ME UP so I can get contacts there. In the four weeks before I leave, I am going to do nothing but eat lots of food, enjoy the non-humid weather, and see movies that will probably never make it to Texas. I also am going to spend every Wednesday at MRX dancing, so all my LA friends should come dance as well. I also want to spend a lot of time at the Little Cave, my favorite place, so if there are any thirsty people on the East Side . . . by the way, myspace is officially better than friendster, as I can make the pictures flash so they look much cooler.

strong, sweet, multi-talented, and
intelligent person. I can go on and on,
but there is not enough space to
describe what a wonderful person she
is. Yes, I am a KRS Fan! :) Missy has
inspired me and has broadened my
horizons in so many ways. I am so
fortunate to have met you, "Missy" and I
thank you for being such a wonderful
friend. Thank you for uplifting me and
making my UCLA experience
unforgettable. I know you will be able to
accomplish all of your future endeavors.

this girl.
give pap smears... AND I don't have a
vagina! All that theory on the social
construction of gender has fucked her
up. If you visit her apt, steer clear
of the stirrups. P.S. I want my
doctor's fee back.
I ordered a bagel and as I looked up to
pay the cashier I just happened to
notice the most beautiful woman I had
ever seen. My jaw dropped all bagel-
style(O). She looked just like a doll
that I saw in my favorite women's
studies teacher's office. And she
actually was the doll that I saw in my
favorite women's studies teacher's
office. Before I left the sandwich shop
that day I very carefully wrote in my
vampire passion oh-my-goth lipstick "I
love you". And I meant it.
what? A cult of theory???
My contribution: How terrible and rewarding
it is to search, and to know. Friendster, how
endless a career, supporting what one has
"said," regardless of one's gender.
best wishes from linus
someone who jolts them out of their
fixity. K.S. is an articulate,
friendly, gorgeous, inspired, smart-as-
hell woman, to say the least. She
easily blows one's mind. Absolutely
Revolutionary. Almost Daunting. But
isn't that the challenge with Ms. S.?
To ignore all odds and try, instead of
acting silent and semi-smart, to
engage with her on her level, as
adroitly and actively as one can? Even
if it means SURE intellectual failure
in the face of better talents? May I
say that although we have passed each
other in the halls for years and only
really talked a few times (numbering
on the fingers) I have that feeling in
her presence, that cheesy-but-assured
sense that I have met a person I will
know and care about for quite
awhile... Simply put, Ms. S. rocks!
