confidante.
at Doc Holliday's hostel up in the
jungle. Sherpa Dave walked into the
room to wake us all up, and he stopped
dead at the door and said "Grace. Your
Hair." Sometimes I wake up in the
morning and look in the mirror and say
aloud: Grace, your hair. I think it's
a state we've all been in... but
Grace's hair that day sticks in my
mind. Also how she talked me out of
getting a tattoo of a winged, fanged
catfish with eyebrows at a shady tattoo
parlor above the sushi place in Hilo
one rainy afternoon. I owe her
a "thank you" for that.
Oh yeah, and Grace throws great parties.
very first people I met at College and
have been meaning to catch up with
her. What in the world is she doing
now? Probably on like her 3rd PhD or
curing cancer or something like that.
She rocks.
