Who I Want to Meet:
People who write "trout fishing in america" on the backs of first graders. Eccentrics that splash in puddles even when it makes them late for a business meeting. Those who cry easily, yet can make me laugh 'till my sides hurt. Those who tie strings to things and dangle
them off high places. Humans with six fingers or toes. Anyone who teases me... I equate torture to true Love! Art terrorists, musicians, people with astrological signs, anyone who tells stories about ghosts and/or UFOs and stays up 'till dawn eating candy or doughnuts, Trivial Pursuit players, somone who will make mud pies with me. Anyone who brings stuffed animals to the bar, optimists, my true Love, tequilla drinkers, space aliens, nymphomaniacs, bad spellers, PRACTICAL
JOKERS!!! Gurus, siameese twins. People who "get it"

billing in bills. Drawing until dawn. Eating
gummy bears in cottage cheese with chocolate
milk. Being called crazy by your mother. And
the kiddie pool in your room. Sneaking out
past the fascist NC curfew to make sweet
sweet mischief. There are too many things to
miss about Emilie, you should just be around
her all the time, so you'll never miss anything,
not single drop, not a crumb.
anything about Emilie. The time is
nigh. The story of Emilie is a fine
one. She dyed her cat, and it was
neurotic, and would leap at you from
across the room and try to rip your
throat out. Why is this? But Emilie
somehow tamed the thing. This woman has
a way of creating usable art, a kind of
post-popart, post-ironic, post-
apocalyptic-toy-utilitarian fashion and
monstrous dolls... she made the sharpie
a menacing weapon, according to local
authorities. Em has the best sense of
style ever, always looks like she
stepped out of a fantastical storybook,
brushing the rainbows from her skin,
shaking off the fairy dust as if she
were really one of us. She once had her
hair dyed like fire. She has a great
smile, and a contagious laugh. She can
make the most dull moment or object or
situation come alive, she spins great
tales, she infuses life with life and
we all are better for it.
emilie back in '96/'97 contained some
of the most fun, surreal and inspiring
times of my life. She had left a very
long-lasting impression on me. Emilie
is an icon of true individuality.
Anyone should feel extremely fortunate
to make her acquaintance.
can also do amazing things with her
tounge! I was so amazed to learn she
can actually tie a cherry stem in a
double knot using only her tounge, wow!
Oh, and boys, a little secret...Emilie
thinks pookah shells are dead sexy!
wasn't invited to the Donner Party.
What does that say about a girl, hm?
learning to walk without the shadow of
being "Ben's Little Sister" when,
Emilie invited me over to her house,
full of people I knew but had not
spoken to. She dressed me up in
fabulous clothes and put me on a
stage. Her talent and her fashion
shows not only helped bring out the
creativity in all those around her, but
for me they pushed forward a piece of
confidence I didn't know I had. One of
these days I'll get to thank her for
that.
to murder the president through
telepathy. as she aged she became fond
of attempting to kill people. she took
to poisoning the food of the Country
Rose's customers, shooting people with
poisoness darts through a sniper rifle,
even leaving toys around town, all full
of poison from some obscure jungle frog.
she would set booby traps on the trail
that goes from downtown to the park -
things such as pit traps with spikes,
caged mountain lions that were released
by trip wires, even shallowly buried
explosives. i am just warning you all to
be very, very careful. and remember, DO
NOT look her directly in the eye; she
could turn you to stone!
missed Emilie so much that the first
thing I did was forge a note from my
parents, (I was only 17 you see)skipped
on down to the "ol tattoo parlour, and
got me a mermaid whose boobies jiggle
when I flex on my right arm.
10 years later, regardless of living
in such a highly concentrated
freakzone, I have yet to meet anyone as
interesting as she is. And I miss her,
so there.
