SMK Pendeta Za'ba as we know today is located about 8km from the town of Seremban in Taman Paroi Jaya. This school is part of the 6th Malaysian Plan which was funded from the 12th World Bank loan. Upon completion on the 1st December 1994, the school was named SMK Taman Paroi Jaya as it is located within the housing area of Taman Paroi Jaya.

Standing on an area of 7 hectares, the school consists of 8 blocks, block A to block G including a canteen. There are 36 classrooms, resource center & library, science labs, computer lab, living skill workshops and other infrastructures with the support and aid of the State Education Department and the Ministry of Education.

During the year 1997, the school was chosen as a pilot project for the single session schooling system. The schooling hours was extended. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, this system was terminated by the Ministry of Education and schooling hours resumed as normal.

On 8th April 2000, the school was officiated by Dato Seri Abdullah bin Hj Ahmad Badawi who was then the Deputy Prime Minister. The school is now officially known as SMK Pendeta Za'ba.
