Woah, remember when people were on friendster all the time?

I was like... "Heeeeey... whaaaaa haaaaappen?" Friendster... what?

I enjoy my solitude, one of my favorite passages from Letters to a Y oung Poet is the one where Rilke explains there is only one solitude, and it is vast, heavy and difficult to bear, and almost everyone has hours when he would gladly exchange it for any kind of sociability, however trivial or cheap, for the tiniest outward agreement with the first person who comes along, the most unworthy but perhaps these are the very hours during which solitude grows; for its growing is as painful as the growing of boys and sad as the beginning of Spring. God, Im such a literary dork! It kind of makes me wonder, why poets are so drawn to portraying spring as so painful, I always considered it to be a cleansed sort of awakening when all the dead things finally rouse and there are new life and beginnings. I mean, Rilke says its painful and Eliot of course wrote The Wasteland. If you dont recall this particular poem, it is the one where he starts out, April is the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire, stirring dull roots with spring rain. Winter kept us warm, covering earth in forgetful snow That is all I could remember but I think it covers my point well enough; although, when I think about it
