allows me play with her cat Jackson and
even lets me win at Scrabble once in a

Whenever I feel like making a call, Milla
is the first person I think of. I really don't
know what I'd do without her. When we
spend time together, our maturity level is
barely at the level of two 10 year olds.
Milla always laughs at my stupid jokes
and I really feel like I can say anything in
front of her. There's no filter. I feel very
fortunate to have this Balkan Goddess
as a friend and as an important part of
my life.
She also sings and hums classic
diddies incessantly, which I dont like
so much. If that's the worst thing
your best friend can say about you,
you're doing pretty good. Milla is
inexorably herself, she plays by her
own rules because she truly knows and
trusts herself. A woman like this is
especially rare because she is
unafraid. She has no problem giving
you a piece of her mind when she needs
to, so a pocket dictionary may be
handy for all potential friends and
suitors. The only thing bigger than
her vocabulary is her capacious heart,
which embraces this life with the
curiousity and wonderment of a child,
of a reveller. ALthough enchantingly
childlike, she is no fool. Her
wanderlust has kept her in constant
adventure and risk, which she always
manages to handle with grace and
sophistication. Milla has never
succumbed to our common apathy,
cynicism, and bitterness caused by
life's little flat tires. Rather, she
uses these disappointments,
banalities, and annoyances to bolster
her faith and generosity. She is
never set back, growing ever wiser by
learning and striving. For these
reasons, she is one of my greatest
teachers. Her undying loyalty,
acumen, and gentle honesty, make her
one of my greatest friends. Because
of her, my scrabble board is now just
a sculpture...a monument in her honor.
