      • Daraka's smile is one of my favorite things in the world. He is one of my all-time best teachers, among the smartest people I know, and someday I hope I will get the chance to help him get elected to something incredibly important, with loads of power. (and this time I vow to not leave a single piece of literature in my car.)

      • this summer has taught me a valuable
lesson. and that lesson is that there's
        nothing better than blasting daraka's
vocals from the front stoop of the
        apartment and watching the neighborhood
        kids dance and/or skateboard
to 'politics of style.' it's a
        beautiful thing.

      • Daraka seems so lefty, hipster, cool,
but I knew him before he reached this
transcendant plan of krunk. This man
has an unhealthy hatred of "PSS's"
        (persons of slight stature,
or "midgets" as DK used to call them).
He has papered over this hatred by
        clinging to every other trendy
        progressive/po-
        mo/vegan/vitatarian/gender
        nuetral/blah/blah/blah cause. I know
the truth! Daraka has as much
        internalised self-hatred (self-hating
        midget) as a telemarketer on a "don't
        call" list.

Oh ya, he definitely made me the red
that I am, nearly got me arrested a
time or two and wants to get in my
        pants.

      • ... if John Dewey and Roland Giff had a
love child... Or what you get when you
cross the young Sidney Hook and the
early Prince. Daraka is forever my
        Buckaroo Banzai, and my commander-in-
        chief.

      • Jesus Oscar! My lord! What intense
words for such a bland boy - where do
you get the ideas for such tales?
Daraka is a mild mannered simple
fellow hailing from a resort town in
        beautiful California. Having spent
most of his life delivering piazzas
        and making macaroni necklaces his
life's work has inspired him to learn
to read at the local adult education
        ESL program. Reversing the native
tongue of pig Latin will take days and
possibly even hours, but that is the
kind of tenacity that Daraka could
have. Always a quitter, I'm certain
that this accomplishment will be the
first he'll be able to complete
without paying somebody else to do it
for him in macaroni necklaces or a
        pasta dinner. Good luck buddy!
        (Daraka makes good popcorn)

      • Most people's are little books. Daraka
is a 12 volume unabridge compendium
with footnotes and a bibliography that
takes up its own hard-bound volume. I
can't really do a testimonial here
because theres not anything I can
start to say about him that won't go
on for pages and pages. Theres just so
much depth and breadth, text heavy
under the weight of a ton of subtext.
Whats the point of a testimonial for
someone like Daraka? You want a nice
boy that will give you nice
        conversation to pass the time
        peacefully while getting old? Go
somewhere else. This aint to debutante
party. Daraka is trouble and I don't
care what he says. He'll take years
off your life. You'll never be the
same again. You will live five times.
You will be challenged. You will be
ten times the person you were before
        you met Daraka.

        musiq to sound like."

      • what i love about daraka is how soft
and cuddly he is. plus, he's the best
person to be around if you are feeling
        intellectually muddled and inclined to
define wishful thinking and blind left
allegiance as a politics. it's just
too bad he can't dance or show a lady
        a good time. smile.
