days and sneaking into dumb portland bars
and strip joints in chinatown w/ fake ids and
then puking our grilled cheese sandwiches
all over the sidewalk and laughing like crazy
at tower records. Good times.

book, she was born on the day of high
voltage. I remember very clearly the
first time I "held" her... they put a
pillow on my lap and her on it, I
cautiously placed one hand below her
head and the other below her feet and
smiled with unprecedented anticipation
and glee for the camera. I recall long
summer days stretching into evening on
a blanket in our back yard, Adria
running around clad only in a cloth
diaper with that mischievous grin that
she still knows how to flash. I
remember her birthday parties and dance
recitals and family trips to the beach,
I have framed paintings she made for me
when she was six, all the usual big
sister/baby sister stuff. I'm so
thankful that my life was blessed with
such a talented, funny, creative and
bold friend. I love her more than she
knows.
