Being Max Haggar is about being Max Haggar. Being you should be about being you. If you want to be the king of the world you have to be king of yourself first. When I was a child, I didnt have a silver spoon up my ass or anyone to wipe away my tears and tell me everything was going to be all right. All I had was my balls and my attitude. I used both those things to go deep inside myself and conquer every fear and misgiving that reared its ugly head. By the time I evolved into manhood I realized I was sitting atop a throne inside my mind. This is the foundation of what most call confidence. It is this confidence, this inner power, which has allowed me to go out into the world and conquer everything and everyone that stands in my way.

If you jump into the world and start crying like a baby, Waaah, waah, give me money. Waaah, waah, give me success youre going to be doomed. You need to do it one step at a time; become the king of your own castle first, then become the king of other peoples castles. Then, and only then, can you start collecting the checks.

Nobody has conquered fears and misgivings the way the handicapped people have. If youre proud of yourself for getting over your fear of heights, try conquering your fear of having legs and arms that dont do what you tell them to! The handicapped have had such a horrible, effortful climb to their inner throne that when they finally learn to take that confidence into the real world, Im afraid theyll all but crush people. Sounds rough, but let me tell you something: the harder the climb the bigger the prize, and being handicapped seems pretty bad until you get that check! Whos laughing now?
