Basically I am a whirlwind of paper-writing, stack-o-books reading, ambient/tangible interaction building, wireless network futzing, trying to understand urbanity, and talking out my ass in class and any other forum that will take me.
-
Who I Want to Meet:
People who are cooler than me. People who understand Heidegger. People who can get me through grad school, show me how to build and debug hardware, teach me how to get clean lines when I ink comics, and/or get me to not look like a fool riding moguls. People who can explain social networks to me. And Ben Franklin.

Testimonials and Comments for Amanda
unspoken race to see who could delay
puberty the longest, both physically and
psychologically, between the two of us.
She won, and for that act became one of
my favorite friends. When Amanda cut
her hair really short junior year, there
was this blond pretty boy asshole who
called her a dyke. Guess what I heard
about that asshole and his BOYFRIEND
recently! (I'll tell you later, mandy) She
had a passion for grapefruit, which we
shared, and was a brilliant student, even
through her annoying 6 month stoner
phase. (How ever did she do it?) I am so
excited to be back in touch with her.
college years-- blowing the doors of
my consciousness open with her
feminine punk sensibilities. Would I
be a more productive, upright member
of society if hadn't met her?
Perhaps. But what is far, far, far
more important is knowing that someone
as cool as my honey-baby is out there,
having her way with the world.
slip from my grasp. I'm so happy we have the
chance to hang out again and that I get the chance
to train next to the true master of bottomless pit
eating. But our reunion is double edged. I'm
devastated about my reproductive inadequacy that
won't allow me to take Nathan's advice. Amanda,
you're the kind of goddess I'd want as the
biological mother of my child.
Glenridge Elementary school. I walked up to
her and said hi in Japanese - and she
replied with "what the fuck, I'm from New
York". And that was the start of a great
elementary school friendship. One of my
favorite memories was sneaking in the
basement to listen to Weird Al Yankovic
because her mom wouldn't allow her to
listen to it....we were such rebels. :)
(especially myself) demystify female
sexuality (very helpful). She boards
(although I won't hold that against her)
and drinks beer and offers to buy me
beers (redeeming the fact that she
boards). Note to Amanda's friends: make
sure she brings her ID with her when she
goes out!
material. She's smarter than you,
she's better looking than you, and she
is cooler than you. She gets very
excited about both work and play, and
she has high earning potential. She
can do just about anything. I'm not
sure if she is fertile, though I hear
that she is feisty. If Ken ever dumps
her for a tall blonde, you should
definitely try to inseminate her.
(Don't be fooled by her pictures. She
chose them specifically for how
unflattering they are.)
similar tastes in food, like uni, amaebi, cheese,
meat~! it's awesome. she's also really cute and
kickass, and a fellow alag (angry little asian
girl), though i think she has fewer issues in
showing her anger. she's my hero! :)
as the girl who ran a marathon, then
downed a pina colada and passed out. I
thought, that's the kind of girl I
wanna hang out with. She can drink all
night and then drag you all over San
Fran looking for food at 5 am. She's
extremely cool, and I imagine would be
very good to run a marathon with.
carried my slow ass for 26.2 miles and
then downed a pina colada while
laughing like a pirate. this image
will haunt me for the rest of my days.
major in design, CS, psych, and most
of all sheer and utter cuteness. She
is like _the_ most fun person to hang
out with and seeing her at conferences
is one of the major reasons why I am
still writing research papers.
