--*Exclusive. Exquisite. Experiential.*--
Singapore Polytechnic is the first polytechnic in Singapore to offer a 3-year full time Diploma course in Music and Audio Technology (DMAT). The course is designed to provide a holistic music education that imparts components of creativity and technology, with emphasis on the integrated use of music and audio elements. Students learn to create and produce music and audio through the use of a variety of software and hardware tools.
--1st Intake--
DMAT has proven to be a popular course. The intake in 2005 is only 43 students, who entered either through JAE (good academic aggregate) or DAE (audition-based). However, most of us were born in the Lunar Year of the Dragon (1988). That means for every student that managed to get into DMAT, 6 other students are on the waiting list for that one place. This means that at least 240 people wanted to get into DMAT! The Cut-Off Point in 2005, or ELR2B2, was 12 points (after bonus)!
--2nd Intake--
The response for the Joint Admissions Exercise 2006 was overwhelming as well! Although the Cut-Off Point this time was 13 points (after bonus), the course remained popular with many people on the waiting list.
--*Us. Our Future.*--
We will find employment in recording companies, multimedia companies, games development companies, advertising agencies, Internet/new media companies, broadcasting companies and in all corporations that require music and audio materials as part of their operations.

dammit... year 1 is over and year 2 is starting soon. time flies and really, the people in DMAT kicks ass. really different people from all over the country. and people who like different kinds of music. the Crossroads concert has got to be the best time of the year. all of us getting together... putting in our effort and time to make it a success. ahhh...
