Battlestar Galactica, Simpsons (seasons 3-6 or 7), Futurama, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, X-Files (before it got ridiculous), any old Star Trek episode where Kirk makes out with a blue or green lady.

Goofy, Earnest, Ponderous, Thoughtful, Slightly romantic, Sensitive, Inappropriately sexual at times, Open-minded, Accepting, Respectful, Honest, Tolerant, Liberal, Friendly. Other things too, I'm sure.

I'm new to the OC experience, having just moved down from San Francisco for my dream job in video game design. Sadly, I can't say that I 've been impressed by the change in scenery down here, but you take what you can get, right?

I pride myself on having a sense of personal integrity, which usually just means that I'll give extra change back to the cashier like a sucker. I tend to pepper people that know *things* with questions and love to get embroiled in discussions of subjects esoteric and inane. I believe that having a sense of wonder is important, and I try to cultivate it whenever possible. I have an absurd sense of humor, and love to be goofy when I can.

I believe in the paradoxical complexity of the universe, and yet also in the simple meanings contained in a look, a touch, a smile. I don't believe in being told what to do, and take great offense when people question my integrity. I don't always follow the rules but I don't necessarily make great breaks from them either; I tend to be flexible and love open-endedness, but my subconscious relishes stability.

I will always give you a reply as thoughtful as I can muster, but I won't be flashy about it. I am a liberal chap, although more in thought than in action. I am accepting of people and hate to see stereotypes fulfilled. I am unconventional enough to not entirely feel like part of the crowd but not enough to be picked apart from it. Usually.

People nice, unconventional, friendly, fun-loving, goofy, dorks, intelligent, curious, open-minded, laid-back, adventurous, unpretentious.

I like people that a genuinely nice. I like people with values. Not values that they were told to follow, but values that they created themselves and follow because they are important. I like people that are humble and accept that they do not know anything remotely resembling anything in the universe, and will be open to new ideas.

I like honesty. I like people that are honest about their feelings, that hate playing games and worry about being genuine. I like creativity and relaxed non-conformity. Surprise me, teach me, say something small with such insight that my eyes will widen, ever so slightly.
