Testimonials and Comments for Jen
guess Jen and Stew had read about
it, and in the mail, at a extreme
downpoint in my injury, a package of
555 recordings arrives. Well, my
wrist got better and I was playing that
shiny guitar in no time! Yeah, you
can say that in a nut, those CD's
healed me. OK perhaps surgery
helped, but I swear, that act of
kindness was paramount!
long before i met her, i knew she had
to be one the kindest and most
thoughtful people around. No one has
ever made me feel more welcome than
Jen.
sweet yet tough, tough, tough. This
girl can do cross country drives, play
shows, fly airplanes, and make really
pretty music - all while fighting off
damaging ear infections. yeah!
married, something happenned to me.
that's right. i got this feeling deep
inside me that i'd never felt
before.......well, at least, i had
never felt it so acutely,.....that
feeling was the feeling of being so
fucking drunk, that i punched a fellow
on his dick. sorry, guy. i don't
remember any of the bands that played.
i remember the guy that gashed his
chin and the girl that didn't wake up.
i remember how jen's mom had to
repeatedly take her flashlight out to
the big mounds of wickedly sharp lava
rocks in order to remove me from them.
i still have scars,too. i do also
recall destroying brian and annah's
rental galant from the inside out. i
actually ended up running from the car
into the brisk flagstaff night covered
in purple frosting, wearing a wet
mickey mouse t shirt and one shoe.
congratulations, jen. you and stewart
look so right together- so in love,
that i almost want to start dating
human people.....instead of pumpkins.
.....ALMOST.
email you out of the blue, when you
are feeling a bit down for no real
reason, and tell you how much she has
been thinking about you and missing
you recently, so that you spend the
rest of the day with a big smile on
your face. She's a wonderful friend to
have.
we only see each other every so often.
but when we talk for those short
moments....i can't help but feel right
at home.
swell people that i've had the pleasure of
befriending. i hope our paths cross again
someday.
Jen has my band listed as one of her
favorite bands! How cool is that? I'm
totally flattered. As if that weren't
enough, she's also super nice, totally
forthright and down-to-earth. One of
my great regrets in life is that I
missed her wedding; I hear it was OFF
THE HEAZY!
that is extremely considerate,
knowledgeable and without ego. i
emailed jen on a whim, thinking that
she and stew would maybe come to
edmonton, alberta, canada (with
boyracer and kanda in tow).
personally, i did not think they
actually would come up here. but you
know what? after many, many hours on
the road - and i stress many hours! - a
ruptured eardrum, lack of sleep,
mountains, border crossings etc., they
did and damn it, it was ace!
