myself bumming around the office of an old friend /
film director. beth was one of the people in this
office & over the next 3 months of being
thereabouts the initial looks between us of, 'who
the crap ?!' & 'uh, like, can i help you ?!' slowly
developed into beers, cigarettes, music & movies
absorbed in the strangest of falls. the fall of
september 11th. unforgettable memories shared &
nothing more powerful than the feeling that there
are other people out there interested in creating
stuff rather than just taking it all to pieces.
watch out for this one, she's not what she might
seem ... good company, to say the least, & a great
friend.
bars. She is a fashion plate, a flirting coach,
a lode stone pointing to the good. I've paid
money for her A.R.T. and that was before I
knew her. I look foward to our next meeting.
way. If I hadn't been painfully shy in
college, I would have asked her out.
Actually, now that we're on opposite
sides of the country and it would be
impossible for her to say no to my
face...will you go out with me?
of those people I feel I was meant to
meet. Conversations with her often
leave me feeling inspired and ready to
make new work, having discovered new
options by just listening to her ideas
and thoughts. She is a brutally honest
artist, and her work is exceptionally
brave. She also ain't bad to look at,
and has her finger on the pulse of
what's happening in the fashion world.
