About Me:
Visit me at 2 Holyoke St. or http://flywheelarts.org. Bring your art, your music, your film and video, your zines, your friends, your self! Profile explained: I'm only six years old, but had to say I was older to get on Friendster. Plus, I am ambiguously gendered, but that was not an option. Being collectively run is like being in a group marriage, but an open one. Yes, as crazy and time-consuming and stimulating as that sounds. (Whatever happened to the "Open Marriage" option on Friendster?)
Interested in joining the Collective? (Any level of time commitment welcome!) Write volunteer@flywheelarts.org or come to an Open House the second Tuesday of every month at 7 (sharp - it's only one hour). BANDS: I hope you understand that I can't respond to your e-mails via Friendster. That would just be too crazy. Please write booking@flywheelarts.org.

Who I Want to Meet:
You.- - - - - - - - - - As an all-volunteer space, Flywheel equals the energy people put into it. I hope you'll come here not just to hang out or play a show (though I love that), but to become part of the Flywheel Collective. Physically, I need a bit of a non-extreme makeover: repainting, a new door, a carpet in the front, and some general spiffing up. And I can always use some fundraising and general maintenance. I also need people to do cafe and sound shifts at shows -- *and* to book events here! Did you know that each event you see on our calendar each month was booked by a *different* member of my Collective? All on a labor-of-love basis. I adore all the music, but I'd also love more visual art, film & video, theater, spoken word, workshops, and free schools of all kinds. Using the space as a booker is done primarily on a work-exchange basis -- you do work for Flywheel in exchange for being able to book (curate/organize) a show.

flywheel means to me. the passion,
excitement, dedication, and love i found
with the people at flywheel is probably
the most inspiring thing i know.
years in its neck of the woods, it makes
me happy to see people are still rocking
the valley from the ground up.
swellness is needed.
really nice poster down off of my
poster board. Don't hate us......
only visited you once, but i feel like
we've known each other for years. i
love your retro furniture and your
ORGAN. what a cozy little space. it
was a bit lonely, though, because i
went with two friends to see the
kamikaze hearts play and we were the
only people there, save for their
girlfriends. but i think it helped me
get to know you that much better,
don't you agree?
shows, my portal to easthampton,
going to make flywheel mywheel.
the kind of place that you wish every
community had. the bears rocked the stage in
unbelievable ways on our magical night. keep
on keepin' on. you are perfect and beautiful.
