What I enjoy doing:
as diffuse and fleeting as my fading memory..., 78's, bicycles, (though I, guiltily revel, in, burning fossil-fuel while, listening to, pirate radio, ), losing my car, profuse apologies, being mystified as to the use of commas, to list my, interests, US mail, live people, Halloween, soulful, smartie-pantses-- smarting and pantsed, mapping, social phenomena, in physical space, accidentally, falling in love, with clergy

Favorite TV Shows:
Your Momma's Back Door. Set in Letchworth, a planned city 50kms outside London, circa 1905. This week, "Momma" has been discreetely informed by the postman that the back of her skirt has been tucked into her girdle. Mortified, she ceases her rant, thanks the postman, and goes inside to cry, her tears the only running water in the house.

About Me:
I've spent a lifetime attempting to cultivate some discipline while simultaniously shirking. This paradox is evidenced in the pairing of my pedantic love of proper syntax, and my complete inability to spell. ( See "haloween" and "villans" as recent examples.)
I attribute all that is not right in the world to a lack of curiosity, and I'm lucky enough to know some very curious characters. Some really nice inspired people-- no joke. Oh, and I've been known to enjoy some truely low-brow TV after all. Star Trek Voyager.... reruns... really enjoyed them. yep.

Who I Want to Meet:
Well, "friends" is a required field. As a matter of fact, Friendster is a little Fascter in its narrow options for i.d. & intent. Anyway, see illustration.
Maybe I know too many of you crazy fuckers already... Nah, never enough. Music makers, cartographers, flow charters, linguists, libertines, and other adventurers who humble themselves to the mysterious truths in rhythm and pattern; soulful and imaginative geeks with fine tuned aesthetic sensibilities; "villians", tricksters and explorers of illusion; the honest, the self-possessed, the dispossessed; those who laugh at themselves and others; those who seem to have an incredible amount of discipline and focus and inevitably attribute their drive to mental 'illnesses', ... Post cards? I'm quite serious about that. Alice knows. Anyone who wishes to partake in "Flights of fancy, fancy, fancy" through the US post should send me a note w/ address...I'M WAITING!

and linguist, author of two acclaimed
works: the serpent and the snowman and
the natural history of plants and
skirts. a brilliant and inspired artist
and sculptor as well, her recent
installation in one of india's mirrored
marabar caves entitled "second-rate
approaches to nature" reveals the flaws
of the common concept of "nature", the
contradictions and complexities of
design and aesthetics relating to that
lay term, and redefines in fresh, visual
language the should-be-by-now-mainstream
hegelian view of "freedom" -- what she
astutely and fondly calls "group
feeling"(see another work by her -
"pears" - in last july's artforum that
illustrates this exactly). another
unknown fact: due to her friendship with
the famed sondine levaux, the french
cosmetic baroness's "beast" line of lip
color includes a deep red shade bearing
the full name sarah glanville.
