About Me:
Check out my more updated profile at myspace.com (Ann Larie Valentine) and some blog-y items as well...
I once had a boyfriend tell me that he would have fun
watching paint dry with me.
I am successful in my clinical practice but not so career
focused. I try to keep to a 3 1/2 day work week so I have lots of time to pursue my loves - writing, music (I sing and play clarinet - slowly learning the banjo - damn
string-ed thing!), Ashtanga yoga, travel, camping/hiking,
and politics/activism (liberal to the core baby!).
I crave stimulating conversation and the creative, fine-
dining experience is next to nirvana for me.
I understand that some things need to be done quickly
(taking off a band-aid, eating cereal so it stays crunchy,
sneak-attacking in tickle fights, following my intuition)
and some things need to be done slowly (frosting a cake,
walking in the woods, responding to criticism, breathing)
I'm a very touch-oriented, affectionate person - very big
on the sensory experience.
Throw in positivity, nurturing, confidence, and a penchant
for Woody Allen movies and that's me. Plus, I play a mean
game of thumb war. Try to overlook the fact that I was
raised by timber wolves and drop me a line.

Who I Want to Meet:
You care about the world around you as much as you care about yourself - intelligent and assertive, charismatic and vocal, nurturing and aware, grounded and open - you create something - you have passion about many things and are on the path to self-actualization-you have a strong, extroverted personality (to match mine)- you love to verbally banter about books, movies, politics and then you're able to set aside serious issues for a moment and play in the creative realm.
(love of Bloom County a plus)

supportive hardass you'll ever meet. A
perfect monad, an island, a beautiful island
off the coast of Oregon, maybe, with a
warm inn overloking the ocean that has
quilts and scones and hot toddies and a
nice fire & a ferry to the disco on the
mainland. One of the most generous
people around, my hand to god. A
perpetual font of activity, very tough and
very happy (a rare & charming
combination, needless to say). I am filled
with envious admiration. Your birthday
present is on the way, hon, & I promise to
write a less gay testimonial after I've slept
for three days. And I am SO taking you to
Nobu next time you're in the city. Nope, I
am. Nope. Mm-hm, it's gonna happen.
Okay then, with kisses - P
I don't know...can the new house handle
it??!
love from your former roomie ;-)
daunting task for me because I know
mere words can not do her justice. I
think of her and I can't help but
smile. She is radiant, blissful, and
beautiful in all ways. Ann Larie is
GENUINELY happy and I would spend an
endless amount of time with her, just
content to be in her presence. She is
a goddess and my dear friend.
a sweet birthday card when she couldn't
make my party- complete with pics from
her karaoke bash! a very thoughtful
lady with the balls to get up and sing
rendition of "the sun'll come out
tomorrow" that would make even a
professional wrestler shed a tear. i am
hoping to get to spend more time
getting to know this one!
(courtesy of the very same website
you're currently visiting), Ann Larie
has taught and taught and taught me,
without ever seeming the schoolmarm. I
ain't gonna tell you most of what I
learned, but here's one lesson worth
repeating: Smart people can be happy.
lovely Ann Larie. Her capacity for
being ALL THINGS GOOD transcends any
mere mortal's ability to describe
her...all one can do is fall on the
ground with laughter, stare in
amazment, and be constantly aware that
your life is BETTER with her in it.
organized parties i have ever
seen...amazing...
