States's too far away! Come to Aussie! Come to Melbourne! Hahaha! Nah, it's your choice. Choose the country that you think you'll feel comfortable in. Awww man, don't worry about the weather part. Trust me, you'll get use to it and yes, I'm already use to the weather here. Choose Aussie! There are nicer people here, like me! xD
I don't know how different the schools would be in States compared to Aussie, but I know more and more people coming to Melbourne to study. Which state are you planning to study in? I felt really weird and lost when I first started school but I got use to it eventually. I reckon your English is good enough to survive but don't worry, you'll pick up the slang in just a few months. As for the weather, you'll definitely get use to it.
It's really really very different compared to Singapore. The people, the environment, the weather, the food, the price, the work load, basically everything is different. I kinda like Aussie now though but of course, I miss Singapore like nobody's business. You should come one day and feel the difference yourself, you might even like it after that, who knows? (:
