About Me:
Hi,
I'm a Filipino/Australian who's excited that local Filipino players have finally taken up "the game they play in heaven. Filipino locals have been playing rugby in limited numbers since 2003. We've even played our first International match beating Guam 18-14 on May 20 2006. My friendster site is aimed at informing Filipinos around the world that Rugby has a foothold in the Philippines and to make contact with Filipinos in the Philippine Diaspora who play Rugby that they now play it in the "Mother Land and encourage them to make contact with the PRFU on their website www.prfu.com/
In the PRFU's ARFU U19 2006 Tournament Committee.

Son’s of Lapu Lapu give it all in Gold Medal Match
Amit crashes out; water polo, rugby teams settle for silver
“The rugby team made up mostly of Filipino-Australians. The Filipino rugby team found the Thais too slippery in the second half of the gold medal match also Tuesday, being blanked in the period to lose, 28-14 at the Suranaree Camp Stadium.
Warongkorn Khankoet scored three of the four Thai goals, with the other coming from Parwej Jarounapat as Thailand overwhelmed the Philippines for another golden performance.
Starter Garet Holgate and Oliver Saunders scored the two Philippine points in the first half as the Filipinos looked headed for an upset win by holding the Thais to a 14-14 tie.
The Philippines also got the goods from Saunders in a 12-7 semifinal victory over Malaysia, while Thailand advanced to the gold medal match by making short work of Singapore, 24-7.”
