Life is sometimes unfair
Many times no matter how much you try some people don't care
Some will do whatever it takes to get "somewhere"
Some will lie, cheat, or steal
Especially if they think they are getting a good deal
Because of this, they will never know the way true love feels
Some think money is more important then life
For this they will use all their energy to fight
They may never see the light
Some just want to talk and they think, "listen to me"
Consumed with themselves, the view in the mirror is all they can see
Some claim, "I have no time"
But for "themselves" time they will find
Some are always late
For it's only their time that they appreciate
Some are just so cold
If only they would realize that within their reach is a pot of gold
The gold I am referring to is not worth a dollar or even a cent
But it is much stronger then even cement
It can't be bought or even spent
It's the love within the heart that truly makes a person content
That is the lesson that life has taught me
For without real love no one can truly see.
