Established in February 2001 and gathered its' full membership from IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Association) in the same year, CIMSA has been rapidly growing from only 6 Local Committees to 16 Local Committees in 2005, and more and more Medical Faculties want to join CIMSA.
Since its declaration, supported by Ministry of Health of Indonesia and cooperated with UN and many independent NGOs, CIMSA works from its inception to facilitate medical students to perform activities in the field of public health, medical education, refugees and peace, student exchange, reproductive health and AIDS.
CIMSA exchange programs proceed to expand and enhance students' experiences abroad, and proceed CIMSA commitment to provide medical students with unique learning opportunities. Professional Exchange carries out a clinical rotation in a foreign hospital for one month. Other students choose to participate in the so-called Res
