About Me:
I play the viola. This basically means that I never actually have to go to work. A person can't really make a lot of money being a violist, but
for the most part the lifestyle kicks ass. I know a lot of violists and they are fine people. My husband is a violist and my best girl is a violist too, so a lot of the time it's all about the viola. I think this is good. In general I am fun, quirky, silly, and quite a little bit nerdy. I learned to knit not too long ago and I love it, so I spend a huge amount of time knitting. I also have a knitting related blog called Yarn Tootin'. I can't dance, but I really wish that I could and sometimes I like to pretend that I am an excellent dancer.

Who I Want to Meet:
I love meeting people I used to know, Oberlin people,

to be roommates in college and we
stayed that way for 3 years...which is
quite surprising; I am a slob, she's not.
We worked it out, though and had a
pretty good time as well. In those days,
she had the best wardrobe and snacks
and I am sure she still does. She
probably still does a pretty good worm
as well....Miss you sweet baby!
Courtney from when I was very
young...but I was scared to death of her
in our GTCYS days. Well, and make
that our Tanglewood days as well. And
maybe even our 1st summer at NRO.
But then that all changed that 2nd
wonderful summer in Breck, and now I
don't know what in the hell I was scared
of. All I can say is Miami Beach would
have been unbearable without her. She
is a gal's gal and loves to talk about hair
products (although our hair is about as
opposite as it can get) and you can
always call her and say, "Did you see
the new Danskos that are out???" and
she will know exactly what you are
talking about. And now she is married,
but she will always be CS to me.
guys like me like hanging out with
Courtney:
1. She's so damn hot and fabulous that
you feel that a little of it can't help
but rub off on your sometimes lacking
in fabulousness self.
2. She's fun to shop with, even if you
don't normally like shopping.
3. If she were only a boy....
4. She plays the Hoffmeister viola
concerto so well that you come away
convinced that it's a fabulous piece o
music. This has not much to do with
being gay (but something to do with
being nerdy), but in the end, we have
to acknowledge that with Courtney, it's
about the music.
4. She has a habit of dating hot men
who like to flirt with slightly nerdy
gay guys... but I guess I can't look
forward to many more of those.
Congrats, Court!
serious beee-yoo-tocks. Court is a
hilarious, sassy viola sister with
seriously bad-ass bratsche skills and
a wicked, spanky sense of humor
rivaled by no one. My most vivid
memories of Courtney involve a kick-
ass viola recital of hers at UCLA
in '00, and laughing so hard in
concerts with her that I could barely
hold up my viola or breathe. Her sense
of humor is wicked, and has I have
seen her completely dismantle rooms
full of people, bringing them to their
knees and to tears with laughter.
She's got to be the most intelligent,
hilarious, babealicious rock star
friend that I have. The boy that snags
this saucy mama is one lucky sea
monkey.
chickadee who knows how to have a good
time and get what she wants out of
life with "flare." Courtney used to
live in the little house on the other
side of the pool when we all lived in
North Hollywood, and I miss those fun
days. It was a crazy year for us all,
and all memories of Courtney make me
laugh! She'll brighten anyone's
day!! She even makes you feel better
about breaking up with your boyfriend
by cleverly pointing out the faults
with his new flings, and letting you
know how much better you are! I truly
hope our paths will cross again and
bring us to live in the same city!!
students. Her wackiness was such a
refreshing challenge as a teacher. I
have to say that I learned a lot from
Courtney about rolling with the punches
and being "cool". I think I'm much
more "down" with my studio "peeps"
because of Courtney's influence. For
years I tried to tame her, but my
efforts only made her weirder and
stronger. Live and learn right? Now I
hear she is living with Filner, my
manny. Those two must make a crazy
pair! heh heh heh!
