his part would be played by Nate. One
time Nate plugged his bass into an amp
and the amp into an amp and it was
louder than bombs. Nate is numerically
telepathic, but not good enough at math
to make use of it. Nate would insist
you use his bass for sledding, even if
it is his primary income and there's
someone down the street with a shiny
pile of sleds marked "free. Nate is
the devils magistrate and will advise
accordingly to comedic effect.
so much about Nathan is the fact that he really
THINKS about his approaches to art,
communication, love, and spiritualism. So
many people move through life never
questioning or attempting to understand the
very fabric of existence. Nathan thinks. His
methods translate into his song writing and
because of that his music will always be vastly
diverse from anything you've heard. This guy
is a pinata full of diamonds.
Effervescent. Every time I see Nathan
he is smiling and laughing or making
everyone around him smile and laugh.
okok...another word to describe Nathan:
Glib. My favorite thing about Nathan is
his facund use of metaphor. He posesses
a unique facility with the English
language. He has the exceptional
ability to utter phrases of complete
nonsense yet perfectly illustrate that
which he is trying to convey with
aplomb and eloquence. I also love that
we can have very intellectual
conversations about rock music and then
with the same kind of seriousness, we
can discuss whether or not Handel or
Mozart would win in a knife fight. I
vote Mozart...Die Entfuhrung aus dem
Serail kicks ass and Handel is a total
pussy...
the bass very well. I love watching him
perform in his band, it makes my heart
smile every time! :) and Nathan gives
very good hugs, which is an important
trait.
Man, I've known Nathan for a shitload of
time. He introduced me to several of my
favorite bands of all time. In high school,
when I played guitar to his bass, I realized
that we felt each other musically almost
perfectly. He also has always made me feel
very valid. Every dumb-assed idea, every
stupid musical whim, no matter how absurd,
seem to be carefully thought of as an equal
opinion. I am very honored to play to this
day with Nathan in our band. He is the kind
of person that makes your life and the world
a better place.
said it. (Does that mean he does not
exist?...) He gave Steven and me his
tickets to the symphony to see Yo Yo
Ma, when he wanted to go. That is the
nicest thing anyone has done for me in,
like, the longest time ever. Mai wird
Ihr Leben gesegnet, Nathan.
something OK into something really
special. Pounding a malleable,
phenomenal talent into items of
accessible enjoyment. Talking,
listening and understanding. These are
among my favorite aspects of Nathan. He
is a tremendous musical cohort. What
can I say? We connected in a unique way
from minute one.
