      • Molly's pictures have disproved my
original hypothesis. No longer can we
take the idea seriously that Molly is el
        burro.

      • a year ago, when friendster was a slow
san-fran website, I remember one night
so dark that a even a bunt cake wouldn't
rise. that's when molly and I were
friends. whoa what a night. she was
standing across the great silver plate of
a lake in blackness, a fact I could
discern thanks only to my canoe's flood
light. So still, so resolute, like some
        vestal gaurdian Molly was standing
300yds away on the coniferous bank of
some Omahan lake, her shadow large
on the trees. Only minutes before I had
been so close, had banked the canoe
over there, and thown out all of our
        peanut-butter honey sandwiches. Molly,
keen as a lizard, sprang from the canoe
in pursuit of the delicious midnight
treats, while I continued my evil scheme
by paddling back out into the disc of
blank - so seemingly far from her
pervasive power, a desert of void. god,
how I wanted to dive in and swim to her!
She stared at me. Cowardly, I wondered
what she would think later, and if she
        would eat t

      • it occurs to me that Mirth is most
akin, abstractly, to a mobile. But god
knows Calder didn't name it that, I
        think his biographer did. These
beautiful things are better bigger, for
their mass and slowness. Myrrh is much
like an especially gravitous one... the
type you would expect to find well
attached to the superstructure of some
        large atrium. And painted primarily.
I would think and stare at these
glorious things all day. MMrrr, to her
benefit, is much more one to be with
(as we are with the heavy mobile, and
the earth) than to meet virtually.
