and love you 8% more, but then, THEN
supermarket sweep?! do you know that when i was
11, that was my little nerd favorite show? also, my
first job when i was 15 was working at a
supermarket and my friend matt and i would
reenact the part of the show where they had to run
fast around the store tackling impossibly huge blow
ups of the groceries and wing them into their
already-bulging carts. supermarket sweep?

Colleen weilded profound influence on
me, more than I ever realized, and in
more ways than I am accustomed to.
For about a two year stretch, my
memories of bubble-fun mirth
and "finding the fuzzy side of life" include
C.B.P.-- trips to the Oregon Coast to
invite country dyke rockers back to our
hotel room, crafty hung-over secret
musical voicemail games, hot salmon
omellettes from Otto's to go. Everyone
thought I was the smartest kid in our
class, but it was really Colleen
whispering her genius into my ear, all
Wizard-of-Oz style. Also, Colleen's
sense of style/fashion is forever burned
into my brain as THE most amazing way
to dress in the universe. I realize this as
I dress some mornings, wearing jeans,
colorful sneakers, an ironic t-shirt, and
mussy hair, I realize, "I am emulating
C.B.P." And that may scare her a little
bit, but I have to tell the truth. Colleen is
freaking AWESOME.
having her around the corner. we used to
make really tasty dinners together, and
fall asleep at midnight movies together.
it's cold here, and you might think it's
because it's snowing here, but really, it's
because colleen's radiating love is so far
south now.
2002. I've met her because a group of
friends were living in front of my home
and I borrow them a mattress. It's
amazing how life arranges people to know
each other! I invited them to our first
dinner-group and we had lots of fun.
Later and a whole month I've seen her
everyday coming to my house for chatting
& critizing TV shows!!
I knew her and I knew she was & are a
beautiful person who likes to give
anything from the bottom of her heart.
Made me laugh a lot, except when she was
speaking to fast!
The last days she stayed, she got sick
and she slept an entire day and we all
were missing her iniciative.
She got well and soon she left Mexico as
she kept saying she'll visit me once
again, but I'm still waiting two years!
Oh, her spanish... She was so motivated
to learn it well, she stressed out so
much at the point we're sure she was
going nuts!!
But I still miss her jokes, her loving
human being...
P.S. If she returns, I'll make her cook!!!

been a big fan of this terrific chick
since we met in CY way back in the day.
Colleen is incredibly caring and
patient, which has been evident in her
ability to be such an amazing friend. I
love her spunk and her quirky humor.
And I love her nana too! I will always
be a big C fan, no matter how near or
far her journeys take her.
