About Me:
curiosity killed more than the cat and it's having its way with me. i appreciate ironies and paradoxes, contrasts and juxtapositions. i use big words that i cant spell. i have no fear, at least thats what i tell myself. my rational senses often disagree. i think allot, but i have a bad memory, unless its something that is completely random. i am the child of a crazily eccentric but brilliant father, a fierce woman, the stepchild of two incredible individuals who claim me as their own, the brother of a com/passionate intellect and the grandchild of warriors who sacrificed every personal ambition and possesion to build the family they loved. i work hard, but procrastinate. i value vision but struggle to develop the discipline to pursue it. i have a tremendous amount of patience, but it seems to be eroding with time.
current mission: to understand ways in which power operates in real-world contexts, to engage a community of like minded progressives to harness it. to change power, while building the personal foundation to not let it change me. it all sounds good, and you can ask me later how it works out.
im still trying to decide which is my better talent: cooking or eating.
favorite literary device: alliteration
theory of change: infiltrate and persuade

who cant fit the entire name of his
company in the space provided. I
think he still owes me some money
from when we were roomates but
that's ok since I plan on receiving
hefty political favors when he takes
over the world. Hahahahaha!... no
seriously. He is constructing a
machine that controls the weather.
Get help!

for quite some time now and throughout
the 7 years that i've known him he has
done nothing but inspire me and amaze
me!!! dexter is truly a remarkable
person who i know will one day become
president of this country! dexter has
taught me so many valuable lessons
about community work that i would've
never learned inside the classroom.
i'll be in forever debt to you for
opening my eyes up to a whole new world
of leadership. wherever life takes you
dex, i know it'll be on a pathway to
success!!! thanks again for
everything!! love ya man!
of with two last names. That is not
the same thing as having two first
names or using your first name and
middle name. Those people are crazy.
Like John Wilkes Booth or Lee Harvey
Oswald. Dexter is not crazy. He just
has two last names.
Dexter is also easily the most curious
person I know. He is always
inquisitive; always searching for the
truth. As one of our friends once
asked me, "Why does dexter ask so many
f***ing questions?!" To which I
replied "I dont know. Do you want to
go out for sushi or just get a pizza?"
To which my friend answered "I dont
know... Im kinda broke. Let's just
make pasta or something."
man in the world," and now he's become
a "rising star." So next time you see
Dex, call him that now. He likes it.
guy, he slept over my apartment.
That's how fast he moves. Oh, the good
ol NO BS STUDY SESSIONS could not have
been the same without you, Ocean's 11
+1, and all the nites of hot seat and
pretending to study. My Cal experience
was definitely enriched by your sick
and funny jokes, by your sexi dexi
comments that make holly snap at you,
and the snoring contests you guys used
to have. You are indeed one of the
greatest friends i made in Cal. Always
a friendly smile and a great full
laugh, not the fake kind. I felt a lot
safer too, knowing you were the most
powerful student in the UC system.
Thanks for the memories sexi dexi.
Peace bro.
guy come over one night for one of
our "NO BS study sessions." I'm glad
he did. Dexter is amazing. He's an
extremely intelligent guy. (He was
the UC Student Regent! Top that!) He's
very knowledgeable about all sorts of
topics and is very active. Dexter is
a very considerate and caring guy. I
love his jokes and stories. He's
simply captivating. All this coming
from THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN BERKELEY
=] Thanks Dexter for everything!
