slimiest part of Jamaica Bay at 7 a.m.
on a Sunday and still be able to grub it
down at a diner afterwards. She can
also trash-pick with the best of 'em. Liz
is a most refreshing dose of real-ness
and justice is lucky to have her on its
side.
the coolest. but, then again, coolness is
an albatross.
earplugs in my ears doesn't bond us
for life, then I don't know what else
would... I find it amazing how Liz has
managed to remain broken-bodypart free
this summer, as she's always bumping
into something (uh-huh, SURE, it's MY
bag's fault...). In a roomfull of left-
fielders, I have to say that I
couldn't have picked a better place to
sit! (or was it that she mandated me
to sit next to her? such wiles...)
your moms would want you to bring
home. i have a picture of her reading
the new yorker, in which she manages
to look simultaneously imposing and
adorable.

also, and I've never met anyone like
this in my life, the most brilliant
gift-giver I've ever known. Everytime I
give someone some crappy thing for
some stressful holiday or birthday
and I feel bad about how boring and
uncreative I am, I think "Liz would
know what to do," and then I get
depressed about the lame gift I just
bought. And also, I can hardly count
the number of times Liz has almost
got me killed, but this is mostly
because of the mafioso characters
she hangs out with--in the end she
always protects me.
most importantly, she can listen to
your tsuris and give it to you
straight - her perspective is always
enlightening.

always think of, and never see. hey,
let's work on that.
