i enjoy any or all of the following (a list in progress): exploring the many ways of making and looking at art-things. listening to and/or producing musical or semi-musical noises. onomonopoeia. word origins & language play. synectic thinking. vintage typography & printing devices. rubberstamps and office supplies. nifty packaging & containers. various kinds of tape. pre-1990 cartoons, games, toys and comic books (the older the better). discovering quirkiness in the minutia of extant world and pointing it out to others. finding humor and ridiculousness everywhere. traveling/exploring by foot, bicycle, automobile, or larger transportation, with or without specific purpose. hanging around piers and being out on the water -- particularly on large, traditionally-rigged sailing ships. flea markets, thrift stores, and yard/garage/tag sales. dumb pop culture trivia that lives in my brain where math used to be. documentaries on how stuff works, or on the histories of commonplace things. being simultaneously excited & terrified by the possibility that the next thing that happens could change everything.
