I moved to Ireland in January 2005 to head up a new speech therapy program in hopes of decreasing the serious deficit of speech therapists in this country, which means the children here don't get nearly enough of the speech therapy that they so dearly need. I love working with my students and I currently work primarily with children with Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorders. I love my work and currently my life mostly revolves around work, which is not typical for me, but in order for us to help the kids, I've really got to keep my butt in gear.
I've recently joined a book club, BookCrossingIreland, which is affiliated with www.bookcrossing.com and I love it! I've done a little bit of travelling around Ireland and have made it to Germany and France so far, but have a ways to go. I love my family and friends and enjoy spending time with them, keeping in touch old friends as well as meeting new people.

I rented a car and travelled around a few European countries with my friend Mike. We had a great trip.
