      • About Me:

Reviewing the movie Duplex, A.O. (Scott, as in NYTimes) calls me "Park Slope, home to a great many writers and editors, and even the odd film critic." Thanks darling. Though you shouldn't say things like "residents of Park Slope are required to (have a baby) within 18 months of arrival or face deportation back to Manhattan," that simply isn't true! I mean, I know people who not only lived here longer and didn't have babies, they didn't even have sex. Oh sorry. Gentle reader, I ask you to ignore that last comment I made. It's not about 'cool' with me, though I do have my share of hipsters. The most popular neighborhood on CL/mis, I span from the Q to the F to the NR and beyond. You'll see a lot of strollers on a weekend, all these happy family types, also lots of gays and lesbians in commited relationships, the 4th Ave area is full of musicians-students-youth, the bars are on 5th, and the closer north or towards the park you get, the higher the rent... Some say I'm too white bread liberal, but hey, I love everyone and am home to people who say 'snow person' to their little kids so they don't get rigid gender roles. And when I say I'm in a relationship, it's because I have a special relationship... with each and every one of you!

      • Who I Want to Meet:

friends, locals, hippies to misantrophes, readers to writers, musicians to audience members, people in Birks/Merrells, romantics and cynics, people who clean up after their dogs, cat servants. over and out, Park Slope Brooklyn ***MSG OF SPRING***Heres to spring coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb, to the cruelest month and the prettiest flowers, to sudden rain and sodden shoes, to new beginnings and bold moves, to growing comfortable in your skin shedding old layers, to getting out of work and catching few moments of daylight still, to the sunrise behind Kentile Floors and the fabulous sunset towards the BQE spreading out to infinity (to Jersey at least), to tenderness to joy to shaking off the hibernation, heres to spring. ***END MSG OF SPRING***

      • I discovered Park Slope on accident.
Some friend's had secured a place in
your belly as we were graduating, and I
found myself living here. Three years
and counting, I can't think of a better
        place to live.
