About Me:
Someone once asked me, 'Tell me three interesting things about yourself, but one of them has to be a lie. Then I'll guess what's true and what's not.' My answers were: 'I have tattoos from five different states. I studied at seminary to become a priest (but didn't finish). I have written four (albeit bad) novels.' Before the answer is revealed, here's a little more about me: I am young for my age. I try to be honest, open, compassionate, honorable, curious, contemplative, courageous. I enjoy film, good conversation, cooking, cool hair, reading, popular culture, friendly tennis, fantasy/sci-fi, RPGs, drinking, cats, psychics, and strong hands. People mistake me for their friendly neighborhood superhero or local stand-up comedian. I can be very extroverted and affable. I can also be subtle and moody. It must be the Taurus/Dog in me. Everything so far is one-hundred percent the truth except for one thing. Guessed it yet? You'll just have to ask me for the answer...

Who I Want to Meet:
I am looking for someone (generally) near my age or younger, someone who shares similar sensibilities, someone who's comfortable with themselves, who isn't afraid of (or worry about) the label 'alternative,' who gets a kick out of being seen with a guy with blue spiky hair. I want someone honest, creative, sharing, cool. I want mutual attraction, I want honesty, I want reciprocity, I want humor, and I want partnership. As with most things in life, everything is up for revision. Peace and big smiles.

Testimonials and Comments for Ed
all the joy and color went out of my life.
Sniff.
meet another interesting person, along
comes Ed! He's a wonderful, thoughtful,
funny person who makes me remember
that in order to have fun, you have to put
yourself out there. (Yes, indeed,
Hyattsville is in the house.) Ed's like an
open school....all class.
has something to say about everything,
and this is a good thing. In a program
in which people are often sporting
Laura Ashley knockoff's, Ed can always
be counted on to brighten up the room
with his brightly colored hair, and
this is also a very good thing. Ed
doesn't get mad when I interrupt him,
he likes my vegan cookies when no one
else does, and he makes me laugh with
his random pictures on the TA
computer. I am embarassed for all the
gay men out there who have failed to
scoop him up!!
have gotten to know him and look forward to
knowing him more completely. He is
soothing in an often too serious academic
environment. I have a class with him and
he's one of the smartest folks in there. He
also brings out the gay boy in me which
makes me completely joyous in my own
skin. Ed isn't caught up in gender
expectations and his presense makes my
genderqueerness feel appreciated. A rare
feature and very admirable one. Anyone to
know ed is a lucky person.
clue, but after reviewing his
credentials, I can't imagine any self
respecting fag or hag who wouldn't.
He's like an older sister to me. Ever
since we met at a Greatful Dead concert
back in '69, we've had our ups and
downs. But through it all, we've
remained the best of friends only
complete strangers can be.
Ed came as Charlie from Charlie's
Angels. His costume? He made a little
cardboard box with one unit of a walkie
talkie inside, left it in one room, and
carried the other unit around with him
all night. Periodically, he would
say "Good morning, Angels" into the
walkie talkie, and the people in the
room with the box would be startled,
and then get it and laugh. There was
never surer evidence of any one man's
genius.
give or take a few months. though i
lived in california at the time, he
sent me an invitation to his birthday.
i told him that i would go to his
birthday someday. i moved up to the
bay area in 2000 and i knew that i
would be at his birthday party, and i
made it. i had fun everytime we got to
hang out and meet some of his friends
from the city (and some of you are in
his network). we will have to hang out
again now that i'm on the same coast as
you, but only five states away.... and
a few hundred miles...
