About Me:
About The Photographer & Author
Inspired by and aspiring to make impressions of daily life, Lorenzo loves life. His photos exemplify what is extraordinary in the ordinary.
Lorenzo chronicles the magic of daily life in New York City via his blog, The Art of Living.
Born and raised in Northern California, Lorenzo has also lived in Los Angeles (UCLA '89,) and then moved to New York City for good in 1992 to attend the graduate School of International and Public Affairs program at Columbia University ('94). He also completed coursework for the Masters in Political Science program at San Jose State University in 1991.
In 2008, he was chosen to be the HP Be Brilliant Featured Artist.
Along with being a writer, poet, graphic designer and photographer, Lorenzo is a director of marketing and communications at a Fortune 500 company in New York City.
Since taking up digital photography in 2005, his photography has been featured in fotoMAGAZIN, Germany's premier photo magazine, and his photos have been cited, posted and published by over 330 other blogs, websites, and print publications. Click HERE to see a short list of citations.
Today, Lorenzo has over 25,000 photographs published on flickr.com—one of the world's most popular photography websites—where his photos have been seen over 4.5 million times and where he ranks as one of the site's most popular photographers. He has been called an "Internet photography sensation" by Time Out New York and is considered a "Flickr star" by Rob Walker, Consumed columnist, for New York Times Magazine.

Who I Want to Meet:
Beautiful People: The deal-makers, the trouble-makers (you know who you are), people with (positive) attitude; half-crazy, wholly-manic arbiters of fate; those who are often, if not always, late; Polyglots who talk a lot; Introspective aesthetes who manifest epiphanies into the practice that is their beautiful life; Those who see their strife as golden opportunity; those who gain impunity because they can becharm and beguile the lot of them, and thus make a life that is like no other; those who love their mothers. Anyone who considers herself a genius and has the agility and output to prove it.
Old friends anew, and new friends that seem old.
Fellow artists and photographers. Prospective agents, curators and dealers who might be interested in my work.
