i do not know what to tell...most people who know me would agree that i:
usually talk a lot, more when i am nervous, and often with strangers,
love espresso, hot or cold, with soy milk and no sugar,
am terribly disorganized when it comes to keys,
hate to clean the floor,
have 2 kids (wyatt and nayla) who are smart, funny, and love our dog & cats,
enjoy listening and dancing to live music, especially accoustic,
think teaching is the most wonderful and important job there is,
keep in touch with former students,
believe in democracy, but worry that ours is deeply flawed,
cook a mean potato taco,
get annoyed by people who talk with food in their mouths,
think eating meat is really yucky,
wish i could go hiking more,
speak and learn other languages well,
never go far without my camera,
think that my sisters and my mom are nearly perfect,
believe that no one should join the military after high school,
like to take care of people, especially with food,
have fun formatting complicated documents with bullet points and text boxes so that they will look beautiful...
this is so silly.
i am lucky that i already know some peoplejust like those i am looking for, and i am blessed with true friends and the two most amazing children you could imagine.

folks who are interested in political change from a hopeful (beyond anger) perspective, someone who likes to cook, lovers of music and long meandering talks over coffee...someone who is patient and interested in finding out what we do not know, in hurrying sometimes to get closer to the stage, and slowing down sometimes to meditate about why we keep electing people who are afraid of change.
i would really like to hold hands in the movie theatre and on the plane, especially during takeoff.
