      • Jill is my only bi-coastal roommate, and I'm
so thankful for that. Jill is a true globe-trottin
        gal. She left our first apartment for Nepal;
next I saw her she was running of to
London. I'm so glad we are reunited in ol
NYC. Where else are you gonna find a girl
who kicks kung fu, kickboxing ass, but is stll
        as pretty as a pixie?

      • Jill is a dudette. Little pale English girls
dream of being just like Jill, accent n all. Jill
recorded a voicemail message for me
before she left the UK, informing y'all that I
was busy pinning puppies down, I was and
she left. I am afraid, Jill, that my dad got tired
of the message so I had to change it, but I
was true to it for at least two months. Visiting
my Nanna in sleepy seaside town Worthing
Jill slept in the Pierot bedroom and took
sneaky photos of the little ornaments that
adorned the wall. She got fed proper roast
potatoes too. On a Japanese magazine
whirlwind media frenzie in Brighton we got
embroiled with the signing an air guitar
band called 'Piss'. Jill made me take a photo
of her on the pier next to a plastic dolphin
bin, about three times her size. Having
learnt the ways of shopping in English
charity shops Jill wil never forget the ease of
stumbling across a delightfully cheap retro
bargain. We made an electric chair, of sorts,
together and if my memory serves me
correct she was the 'creative visionary'. The
last band Jill and I saw together were The
Kills at the Astoria. It was great. She had a
complex about wearing her Parka too much
but I wouldn't take something off if it suited
me that damned well! An extraordinary
young lady who knows how to fight the men,
good and tough...Back at ya girlfriend!

      • The 1st time I met Jill we saw a Ramones
tribute band that played nothing but
whole set of Abba songs in the plush
surroundings of one of London's finest
hotels. The 2nd time after we saw the
Electric 6 at Trash some young thug
destroyed her bicycle and I had to carry
her broken bike on my shoulders all the
way to Kings X which still hurts me to
this day. Then she designed some
fabulous flyers for our club which were
beautiful apart from the fatal flaw that
they couldn't be read in the dark
because the design was too god damn
intricate, oh well. It didn't seem to do
any harm. We've seen some fabulous
        exhibitions, films and shows together
apart from some crappy history of Nike
sneakers thing which I'm still sorry for
dragging her to. We've been out for some
        fabulous drinks all around London
including my new favourite secret bar in
        Farringdon. I'll miss Jill we've done a
lot of cool things together. She's
        really hot too.

      • The victory of the bourgeoisie is the
        victory of profoundly historical time,
because this is the time of economic
        production which transforms society,
continuously and from top to bottom.
So long as agrarian production remains
        the central activity, the cyclical
time which remains at the base of
        society nourishes the coalesced forces
        of tradition which fetter all
movement. But the irreversible time of
        the bourgeois economy eradicates these
vestiges on every corner of the globe.
History, which until then had seemed
to be only the movement of individuals
of the ruling class, and thus was
written as the history of events, is
        now understood as the general
        movement, and in this relentless
        movement individuals are sacrificed.
        This history which discovers its
        foundation in political economy now
knows of the existence of what had
been its unconscious, but this still
cannot be brought to light and remains
        unconscious. This blind prehistory, a
new fatality dominated by no one, is
        all that the commodity economy
        democratized.

      • Jill and I once tried to sneak in to
Euro Disneyland. We couldn't figure out
a way, so we came back the next day and
just paid, and Jill went on to spend
about three hours taking photographs of
the It's a Small World ride.
