greatest joy is to hike in the fall when the air is crisp,
and the leaves are dying

think his heart is a trembling sweet
soft baby french lop-eared bunny.
furthermore he's a quality deadpan
comedian. such qualities make up for
the other sometimes overwhelming array
of dysfunctions.
techniques, mike will be with us
forever, and we'll forever enjoy his
off-beat wit, his gentle schoolmarm
touch, and his polysyllabic pop-
cultural references to obscure britpop
bands. i miss our sunday brunches,
where over scrambled eggs, black beans,
avocado, bacon and peets, mike would
hold court on the fate of the world.
remember, though: he's just a wee guy,
careful when you fondle him.
