Truth be told, the window through which I knew Amanda was all too narrow, but I will always remember her as the most enthusiastic and optimistic neighbour in the so-called ghetto.
It's not every day that you get to share midnight cigarettes with random teenage girls in Scarborough, or have one sit out your drunken stupor with you, or have one take you to crazy Chinese barbers with crazier blue dyes. That's just the type of kindnesses you get with A.
And because Amanda was always one to share her thoughts (outspoken might be a more appropriate term), my life was enriched by learning to see the world through her perspectives.
If anything, this whole Friendster business reminds us of the memorable moments, however brief, that make up the entirety of our lives, for better or for worse (I suppose it can also be quite useful for gauging your popularity, telling the world you're hot, etc.). And Amanda is that type of memorable person that can make six years seem like yesterday.

Amanda is a sweet, helpful, friendly,
smart, and hard-working girl who knows
what she wants and gets it. I didnt'
meet Amanda until sometime in... bah..
I can't remember anymore. It was in
university sometime that's all I know.
Anyhow... Amanda can always put a
smile on her face because she's
usually in a good mood. She's also
easy to talk to and is always there to
lend a helpful ear to listen to all
your shiet. Just stop studying so hard
you geek! Hope things are going well
for you.. you deserve all of it =)

HOW TO CHEER PEOPLE UP! shes my
yongest little one... (she grew from
shortest to tallest) I watched her
turn from a playa into a sweet heart.
My drinking buddy that can NEVER out
drink me but ALWAYS puts up a good
fight. I miss you guys!!! Thanks for
all the advice in the past...

Where do I start? Amanda told me to
write about how she's an angel, but I
didn't need to be told to do that, since
she truly is one. Amanda is one of the
smartest, funniest, nicest people I
know. I honestly think she spends every
waking hour studying or thinking about
studying, she is such a worker! Amanda
has also taught me about some of the
finer things in life like the appearance
of her nails, sushi, and how studying
all day in the library is a good way to
spend time. And even though she cracked
my knee at DC and has hit me with a
squash ball a few times I still consider
her one of my best friends.
