Anything by David Sedaris or Gregory Maguire, Middlesex, His Dark Materials Series by Philip Pullman. Oh, and Harry Potter - I can't get enough of that kid.

Angels in America, Waiting for Guffman, School of Rock, Wallace and Gromit, Strictly Ballroom, old Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn movies, and I memorized the Wizard of Oz in it's entirety as a kid.
